Amy Winehouse's Father 'Sickened' After Dresses Stolen From Home Where She Died

Amy Winehouse's father has expressed his "disgust" after two expensive dresses that belonged to the singer were stolen from the home where she died in Camden last year.
Fans have turned the townhouse into a shrine for the 'Back To Black' singer since she passed away in July 2011, however, it was tainted when the burglars broke into the home and stole two ballkleider onlinethat were due to be auctioned for The Amy Winehouse Foundation later this year in New York City.
The Grammy-winning singer's father Mitch Winehouse says that he is shocked that people would hinder something that was meant for a good cause.
"It's a blow. It's sickening that someone would steal something in the knowledge of its sentimental value," Mitch told The Sun.
"The house in Camden is being sold so all of her possessions have been tagged, numbered and logged in preparation of storage. There was a window of about two days while that process was underway when the ballkleider onlinecould have been taken."
Mitch goes on to reveal that there were several other designer ballkleider onlinethat could have been taken, but instead, the culprits particularly chose the anchor-pattern cotton dress which Amy wore as she wed former husband Blake Fielder-Civil in 2006, and the newspaper print dress she wore to perform on Jools Holland.
"A few people were involved and there was some coming and going. We're going through everything else to see what else, if anything, has been lifted. We are all baffled as to why some of her designer dresses didn't go too," Mitch continued.
"There were a couple from Dolce & Gabbana worth a fortune. Her wedding dress was only a little cotton thing, a hundred quid (pounds) at best in the shops. Whoever nicked (stole) it realised its significance and knew it had an extra value."
In the last year, the Amy Winehouse Foundation has raised an incredible £1 million, and aims to help those battling with addiction and children's hospices.
Meanwhile, Amy's close friend and frequent collaborator Nas recently announced he will be performing a special show at London's O2 Arena next year, with proceeds from ticket sales going towards the foundation.
