Richard Nicoll plans for alternative brides

Richard Nicoll Topshop's bridal designs are a "modern alternative to meringue culture".

The British designer has created a highly anticipated ballkleider günstig, wedding collection for the high street giant and the first pictures of the creations have finally been published.

The creative fashion explained that he was aiming to create cool, trendy and affordable options for brides-to-be and that his designs would not look out of place at parties and weddings alike.

"I proposed the idea after my Spring / Summer 12 show,"abendkleider online, he told Vogue.co.uk. "I liked the idea of making a modern affordable alternative to meringue culture. The bridal dresses are marketed as but would equally be suitable as bridesmaid dresses or cocktail."

The capsule collection contains seven pieces feature and short T-shirt style dresses as well as long, fitted gowns.

"[The collection] is embued with Nicoll's signature fuss-free and easy femininity, wearable coolness," writes Vogue.

However, despite his foray into bridal designs Nicoll is not planning on including them in his collections permanently.

While he does not mind the odd creating bespoke abendkleider günstig, wedding dress, the designer Vera Wang's will not take crown as reigning bridal designer.

"I've added some red carpet options to my forthcoming wedding dresses resort collection but are not something I plan to launch," Nicoll said. "Of course I'm happy to make them on request but I'm not the new Vera Wang, no!"
